Audi S/Q5 FY (Pre-Facelift & Facelift) – Side Assist / Exit Warning / Rear Cross Traffic Assist System

This Genuine OEM Audi S/Q5 FY Pre-Facelift & Facelift retrofit includes: Audi Side Assist (Blind Spot Monitoring), Exit Warning for all four doors, and Rear Cross Traffic Assist.

Audi Side Assist enhances safety and convenience by monitoring vehicles in your blind spots on both sides of the vehicle. Particularly useful on motorways and dual carriageways, the system uses LED indicators in each wing mirror to provide clear visual alerts. As a vehicle enters your blind spot, the LED gradually increases in brightness. Once the vehicle has passed, the indicator fades out. If you begin to change lane into the path of an oncoming vehicle, the LED will flash rapidly to provide an immediate warning.

Exit Warning adds an additional layer of safety when parked roadside. If a cyclist or vehicle is approaching from behind while a door is opened, a red warning LED illuminates inside the interior door handle recess to alert the occupants. On the front doors, the Side Assist indicators will also flash rapidly to enhance visibility of the warning.

Rear Cross Traffic Assist assists when reversing out of parking spaces. The system detects approaching vehicles, cyclists, or pedestrians crossing behind the vehicle and provides both visual and audible warnings. If the driver continues to reverse and a collision risk is detected, the system can automatically apply the brakes to help prevent an impact.

When equipped with a rear view camera or 360° camera system, directional warnings are also displayed on the MMI screen. The installation also includes full Side Assist calibration using dealer-level diagnostic equipment.
