VW Golf Mk7/Mk7.5 – Blind Spot Warning System

This factory OEM upgrade adds the Volkswagen Blind Spot Warning system, also known as Side Assist, to the VW Golf Mk7 and Mk7.5.

The system monitors the areas alongside and behind your vehicle and warns you when another vehicle enters your blind spot. This is particularly useful when driving on motorways and dual carriageways where vehicles may be difficult to see in the door mirrors alone.

When a vehicle enters the blind spot zone, an LED warning light within the corresponding wing mirror glass illuminates. Once the vehicle moves out of the monitored area, the warning light switches off.

If you indicate or begin to change lane whilst a vehicle remains in your blind spot, the LED warning light flashes to provide an additional visual warning.

This retrofit uses genuine OEM components and operates in the same way as a factory-fitted system. We also carry out a full Side Assist calibration using dealer-level diagnostic and calibration equipment to ensure correct operation.
