A8/S8 4N – OLED Tail-light Upgrade

This retrofit upgrades the Audi A8/S8 4N (2017+) with the Genuine OEM OLED (Organic LED) Rear Tail Light system, including the dynamic locking and unlocking light animations introduced on the facelift Model Year 2022 vehicles.

The OLED rear lights became available from factory on facelift A8 4N models and were commonly fitted alongside the Matrix Laser Headlight package. This retrofit allows those facelift OLED tail lights to be installed onto earlier pre-facelift Audi A8/S8 4N models while retaining the dynamic rear lighting animations and full OEM appearance.

Compared to the standard LED rear lights, the OLED units provide a significantly sharper and more premium light signature with improved depth and clarity. The outer tail light units also feature the integrated Audi four-ring detailing within the lower OLED sections, giving the rear of the vehicle a far more modern and distinctive appearance. Dynamic sweeping rear indicators are also included as standard with the OLED light units.

Due to limitations within the pre-facelift MMI system, the rear light animation styles cannot be changed directly through the MMI menu as they can on facelift vehicles. However, the animation style can still be configured via coding, with three different animation styles available to choose from.

Combined with the dynamic welcome and leaving light sequences, this retrofit provides a substantial visual upgrade to the rear of the vehicle while maintaining full Genuine OEM integration and functionality.
